Anyone opening a bank account online can identify themselves using their smartphone and no longer has to visit a bank during set opening hours. Previously, users were connected to a call center via video call, and their identity was verified in person. With the Autoident solution from IDnow, identity verification for high-security transactions is to be fully automated using artificial intelligence.
"IDnow is proud to be the only company to receive approval for certification of a fully automated AI product at this level of security. We understood the industry and the emerging needs of our customers and potential users, knew what needed to be done, and leveraged our technological and regulatory leadership,"
says Andreas Bodczek, CEO of IDnow.
Access to electronic health records via Autoident
“This is a groundbreaking development for the industry as the benefits of digital identity verification become available for a much wider range of services,”
the managing director continued.
Potential customers for the new solution could include health insurance companies and healthcare providers, who could use electronic identification to regulate access to electronic health records and the issuance of health insurance cards.
The Munich companies IDnow was founded in 2014 by Dennis von Ferenczy, Sebastian Bärhold, Armin Bauer and Felix Haas, one of the three organizers of the startup fair Bits & Pretzels.
