The chemical industry is a driving force for innovation in numerous other sectors. Innovations in chemistry, process engineering, and biotechnology can fundamentally improve technologies and products across the board. Yet the number of start-ups in these areas is low. Good ideas and young companies need support to bring innovations to market and develop new business areas. This requires access to experienced mentors, a strong network, and financial resources. And this is precisely where the Achema Founders' Award comes in.
Submit your business plan now
The competition runs over three phases – in the final phase, business plans can be submitted until November 30, 2020. Participation requirements for startups: they must have been founded after July 1, 2018, but can also be in the process of being founded. Regardless of when they entered the competition, all business plans submitted by November 30, 2020, will be considered for the finals. What founders should consider when creating a business plan: can be found here.
Up to ten of these submissions will then have the opportunity to present themselves and network at Achema 2021 as part of a founders' prize booth and a special pitch session. Three overall winners will also receive prize money of €10,000 each.
