Enterprising scientists, future founders, and startup owners can submit their business plans and startups for the ACHEMA Founders' Award 2018 until November 30, 2017. The finalists have the unique opportunity to present themselves to an international audience at ACHEMA 2018. Three overall winners will also receive prize money of €10,000 each.
The competition is organized by DECHEMA, the Business Angels FrankfurtRheinMain and the HTGF The aim is to support entrepreneurs in the chemical, process engineering, and biotechnology sectors in developing new business areas and promoting the innovative power of these industries. In addition to numerous other supporters and partners, Accenture, Merck, and Evonik are particularly committed as premium partners, among others, on the high-profile jury.
What's new about the 2018 ACHEMA Founders' Award is that there are no restrictions on specific categories; all topics represented at ACHEMA are eligible, from plant engineering to industrial biotechnology.
Competition in three phases
The competition runs over three phases. Regardless of the time of entry into the competition, all business plans that until 30 November 2017 The final stages begin in early 2018: A jury of experts from academia and industry, as well as sponsors and supporters of the competition, will evaluate the business plans.
In the second round, the finalists have the chance to personally present their model to the high-ranking jury, which will then select up to three winners.
Up to ten promising start-ups or start-up ideas will have the opportunity to present themselves at ACHEMA 2018 as part of a start-up award stand and a special pitch session and to expand their industry network. Three overall winners will also receive prize money of 10,000 euros each.
