The Start?Zuschuss! program of the Bavarian Startup Initiative of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs is still seeking participants for its 9th competition phase. Applications are open until July 6.
Digital startups founded no more than two years ago can receive up to €36,000 in support for their start-up costs with the Start?Zuschuss! program. The grants will primarily cover expenses for rent and personnel, product market launch, and research and development for one year. However, individual feedback from the jurors on the business models, as well as close monitoring of development and regular evaluation of the business plans, are not provided.
To receive funding, a startup must apply online by noon on July 6th. In July and August, all submitted applications will be evaluated by a jury of experts. Selected applicants then submit their funding applications to the relevant government, which are processed by the end of September. Funding can then begin in October.
A total of 85 startups applied for the last eighth round of the competition, from which the jury selected 10 winners. Among the winners chosen in April were Ajuma, Manyfolds, Nebumind, Qbound, Sewts, Veomo and VitocratesAt that time, Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger (FW):
"Our program has more than proven its worth. The process is streamlined, and the funding is precisely tailored to the needs of startups."
And further:
"The consistently high demand shows that we're on the right track with this program. We will continue to support the innovations of Bavarian startups in the ninth round of the competition."
