Four cities, 90-second pitch videos, and a media package worth €10,000 – at Startup Champs, as part of Digital Day on June 19, 2020, you can present your business idea to a select jury and a broad audience via livestream. Applications, including a short pitch video, can be submitted until June 12. Whoever receives the most votes will then advance to the final.
Munich, Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne want to see you pitch. At the Startup Champs pitch competition, which is part of the Digital Day On June 19, young companies will have the opportunity to present themselves in a virtual pitch to a prominent jury and a broad audience via livestream. From the Munich side, in addition to Munich Startup, Plant1 is involved as organizer. The competition is under the patronage of Dorothee Bär, the Federal Government Commissioner for Digitalization.
Applications possible until June 12
You can upload applications in the form of a 90-second pitch video until June 12. Eligibility requirements include, among other things, that your company has been on the market for less than five years and that your product or service has a digital focus. Voting will open from June 5 to 12, where everyone can vote for your pitch, before the twelve finalist teams are finally notified on June 12.
The live event will take place on June 19, where the three most popular startups from each region will pitch their ideas to a prominent jury for the chance to become Germany's Startup Champion. Interested parties can join via livestream.
10,000 Euro media budget
In addition to a media package from Heise Medien totaling 10,000 euros, the prizes include a pop-up store in Munich's Werksviertel district and tickets for the Online Marketing Rockstars Festival (OMR) 2021.
