Buddyler: “We want to make people’s everyday lives easier”

From high school dropout to startup founder: Tristan von Tschirschnitz wants to build a service with Buddyler that delivers almost anything to your door within an hour. We asked the young founder our 7 questions.

Munich Startup: Who are you and what do you do? Please introduce yourself briefly!

Tristan of Tschirschnitz: I'm Tristan, 20 years old, and the founder of Buddyler. I dropped out of high school in 2018 to pursue my dream of self-employment.

Munich Startup: What problem does your startup solve?

Tristan of Tschirschnitz: Buddyler is an app that lets you have almost anything delivered to your door within an hour. So you're not tied to specific stores or restaurants. The main problem we want to solve is the well-known fact that people often lack the time and means to do all their shopping.

Munich Startup: But that's been around for a long time!

Tristan of Tschirschnitz: In fact, this doesn't exist in Germany yet. There have been a few attempts to set up a similar service, but these efforts have not been pursued.

“We are currently trying to build a Buddyler community that will then grow organically.”

Munich Startup: What have been your three biggest challenges so far?

Tristan of Tschirschnitz: The biggest and most time-consuming challenge was definitely to develop a system that makes ordering as easy as possible.

The second biggest is almost certainly the German "legal confusion." A great deal of consultation and research was required to gain the necessary clarity.

The third step would be to spread the word about our app. We want to help as many people as possible with our app. We're currently trying to build a Buddyler community that will then grow organically.

Munich Startup: Where would you like to be in one year, where in five years?

Tristan of Tschirschnitz: In one year, we want to be helping people in Munich 24/7 to make their everyday lives easier. In five years, we want to be in all major cities in Germany and Austria.

Munich Startup: How do you rate Munich as a startup location?

Tristan of Tschirschnitz: On the rise. In my opinion, Munich is still at the beginning of a long and successful journey toward becoming a startup hotspot.

Munich Startup: Quick exit or long breath?

Tristan of Tschirschnitz: I'd like to have a lot of patience. I enjoy actively guiding Buddyler. I'd love for it to continue for a long time.
