For a study, the event organizer 'Startupnight' compared Germany's 100 most valuable startups in terms of employee satisfaction. Among the top 10 employers are three Munich-based companies.
The startup ratings were determined with the help of the data analytics service provider Dealroom. The employee satisfaction ratings for each company are based on data from the employer rating portal Kununu. The study only includes startups that were founded within the last ten years, received at least €8 million in funding, and have received at least 20 reviews on Kununu. The Kununu score for all startups was determined on July 17, 2019. The significance of the study explained Cem Ergün-Müller, founder of Startupnight, as follows:
"Our analysis shows that company valuations alone are not enough. In addition to investment rounds and exit plans, companies should also consider their employees."
