The application period for the seventh Start-up grant competition the Founder-Land Bavaria-Initiative of the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy. Applications can be submitted until July 5.
The program is designed to provide financial support for technology-based start-ups in the field of digitalization during their initial phase and to contribute to the establishment of young, innovative companies in the market. However, the funding does not include close mentoring. This is offered by the Business plan competitions by Baystartup.
Start-up grant competition: Timeline
The online application process began on May 6, 2019, and ends on July 5, 2019, at 12:00 PM. All applications received will be reviewed by an external jury. The decision will be made in July or August 2019. Subsequently, the application process for selected applicants will be completed by the end of September. The funding period then begins in October of this year. The next application phase for the 8th competition round begins on November 11, 2019.

Who can apply?
Startups in the field of digitalization that were founded no more than two years ago and that have an innovative and forward-looking idea can participate in the start-up grant competition.
What do the winners receive?
The winners receive financial support covering rent and personnel expenses, product launch, and research and development. Founders' Land Bavaria will cover a maximum of 50 percent of eligible expenses for a period of one year. The maximum amount is €36,000.
