European Business Promotion Award 2019: Starting signal for Germany

The German preselection for the European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) is open! For the thirteenth time, the European Commission is honoring outstanding achievements by public institutions and public-private partnerships.

The award recognizes innovative and successful measures that strengthen entrepreneurial spirit and entrepreneurial action at local, regional or national level.

“Giving new impetus to entrepreneurship”

Christian Hirte, Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy and Federal Government Commissioner for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises:

"Last year, we were greatly inspired by the EU-wide award-winning German initiatives 'ProjectTogether' and 'Succession in Germany'! Germany's successful performance should now motivate many energetic players to participate in the current competition round with their projects to strengthen entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial spirit. In this way, we can give new impetus to entrepreneurship—as a good example in Germany and Europe."

The European Enterprise Award is presented in the 28 EU Member States as well as in Iceland, Serbia and Turkey.

The deadline for applications is April 12, 2019. The winners of the German preliminary round will be invited to the European Commission's award ceremony in Helsinki in November 2019.
