The career fair herCAREER is also dedicated to women who want to become self-employed. On October 15 and 16, 2015, Germany's first and only trade fair that addresses all aspects of female career planning and family planning will take place at Munich's MTC. The trade fair concept is new, innovative, and unique.
herCAREER is a career fair with a difference. Natascha Hoffner is proud of the new and innovative concept, which she calls unique in Germany. We meet visitors where they are at the moment: at the job entry, promotion, re-entry or at the Founding your own company“, says the founder and managing director of the trade fair.
Topic of business start-up particularly in focus
The area of business start-ups as a career path is highlighted separately at herCAREERFor Natascha Hoffner, one of the fair's goals is to offer visitors a comprehensive range of services so they can directly tackle not only the planning but also the implementation of starting a business. This ranges from consulting services such as those offered by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria or Social Business Women, to credit institutions such as Münchner Bank and Stadtsparkasse München, to support programs such as those offered by the Munich Employment Agency.

In the future, software programs for CRM and accounting, as well as SEO optimization, office space, and competitions will also be included. This year, however, the focus is on exchanging ideas with women who have already ventured into self-employment and are available as sparring partners, for example on the topics of starting a business with children, finding investors and mentoring, but also on how to build and use networks.“, says Hoffner.
herCAREER also wants to show that the startup scene is not a male domain at all. That's why top female entrepreneurs come together with aspiring entrepreneurs here. Trade fair organizer Hoffner: "It's important to us that successful female founders are visible, but also that there is a lively exchange, that questions are asked and follow-up questions are asked. And, of course, we also want visitors to expand their own networks.."
