Big deal for Flyla: The Munich-based startup will be working closely with the Lufthansa Group in the future. Founded in 2017, the flight portal offers students affordable airline tickets for those on a tight budget. From now on, students can benefit from the entire range of Deutsche Lufthansa tickets at attractive prices.
Flyla distinguishes itself by offering affordable airline tickets to destinations worldwide, exclusively for students. The Munich-based company has been offering discounted flights with Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings since October 1, 2018. The other Lufthansa airlines, Austrian Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, and Brussels Airlines, are expected to follow in the coming weeks.
“We recognize the clear interest of the industry”
Fabian Höhne, Managing Director of Flyla explained:
"The partnership with the entire Lufthansa Group demonstrates the relevance of our offerings for students and also for the airlines. We recognize the industry's clear interest in exploring new avenues and are pleased to be making a significant contribution."
After Etihad Airways, the launches with Eurowings in October 2018 and Qatar Airways in November 2018, Lufthansa is now the fourth international airline on the platform.
"Since the beginning of October, our student customers have saved an average of 40 percent off regular airfares. Comparable discounts are not available elsewhere."
says Höhne.
Respond specifically to customer needs with modern technology
José Pereira, Head of Direct Distribution Provider Management Lufthansa Group, adds:
"We are extremely pleased about the partnership with Flyla. Thanks to modern, innovative technology, we can respond more individually to students' needs and convince them with the most affordable offers. As part of the Lufthansa Group Airlines' NDC Smart Offer, students always have access to the most attractive offers and price advantages when booking additional services."
