At the Startup Demo Night in Munich last week, 64 startups presented their products and prototypes — including the top teams from the 2018 Munich Business Plan Competition, which kicks off its new season with the Startup Demo Night.
The topics presented by the startup exhibitors ranged from sensor and e-commerce solutions to technological innovations in robotics, industry, and the Internet of Things, as well as new sports and lifestyle offerings. Around 900 investors, entrepreneurs, and interested guests were able to try out the startups' innovations at the startup fair and engage in personal discussions with the startups.
The event partner of the Munich Startup Demo Night is WERK1. The Startup Demo Nights take place four times a year in Nuremberg and Munich and are aimed at ambitious founders from all over Bavaria. A total of over 2,500 visitors a year take advantage of the events to network, make contacts, and exchange experiences—including startups, entrepreneurs, and investors.
Kick-off for the next round of the Munich Business Plan Competition
BayStartUP, the network for startups, investors, and industry, kicked off the new season of the Munich Business Plan Competition at the Startup Demo Night in Munich. In three consecutive phases, the top teams will be honored, with prize money totaling more than €48,000 awarded. Interested startups can now apply for competition phase 1 via www.baystartup.de Register. All participating teams will receive free business planning coaching and comprehensive written feedback on their business concepts from a volunteer expert jury.
The competition is aimed at innovative founders from all industries.
“The competition aims to reach startups that are developing or have already developed an exciting solution or a new product and want to successfully place it on the market,”
says Dr. Carsten Rudolph, Managing Director BayStartUP. He continues:
“It doesn’t matter whether the business concepts come from teams at colleges or universities, from spin-offs from existing companies, or from founders who may have previously worked with a service company.”
