The Munich-based medtech startup Kumovis has received fresh capital in a seed round. High-Tech Gründerfonds and a family office are investing a seven-figure sum.
Kumovis develops 3D printers with integrated cleanroom environments specifically for medical technology. These printers produce, among other things, customized implants. The focus is on processing high-performance polymers such as PEEK and PPSU, which are already established in medical technology and approved for the production of medical devices.

The Munich-based high-tech startup has received a lot of support from industry and the startup scene in recent months and was recently awarded Weconomy The startup previously took second place at the Science4Life Venture Cup as well as the Munich Business Plan Competition by BayStartUP won. Dr. Carsten Rudolph, Managing Director BayStartUP, says:

With the completed seed financing round in the seven-figure range, the young company can now prepare for market entry.
