German startups can now apply for the German-Brazilian Startup Prize This will be done by the Start-Ups Connected Initiative This grant gives young entrepreneurs the opportunity to travel to São Paulo, get to know the local market, and network. The application period runs until July 27, 2018.
On 24 May 2018, the 3rd edition of the Start-Ups Connected Initiative, organized by the São Paulo Chamber of Commerce (AHK São Paulo) in partnership with the German Center for Research and Innovation São Paulo (DWIH São Paulo). The initiative was launched in 2016 with the goal of promoting rapprochement between companies and German and Brazilian startups, as well as supporting the startup ecosystems of both countries (including research institutions).
Networking in Brazil
The German-Brazilian Start-Up Award represents the first step of the initiative. German startups can now apply under the "Germany" category. The DWIH São Paulo is the patron of this category.
The winning startup will receive a trip to Brazil and the opportunity to participate in the awards ceremony on September 27 in São Paulo. The DWIH São Paulo will cover the costs. The winning team will also have the opportunity to visit potential partners in Brazil, such as research institutions, companies, and investors. Support will also be offered here.
