Young Taste Of Convenience Award for food startups

The medium-sized wholesale group MCS is writing the Young Taste Of Convenience Award for food startups. The awards recognize young companies in the food sector that impress with innovative products for gas stations and other convenience stores.

Snickers, Carazza, and the like: We all know them, the snacks from the gas station. These classics and little indulgences have been accompanying us on our travels on Germany's roads for years. But every now and then, consumers crave a change. Gas stations and convenience stores have therefore always been important buyers of product innovations. These stores serve as an important platform for market entry for many product launches, as customers are very open to new products.

Innovations from the gas station

Food startups in particular produce attractive and imaginative product innovations that are also ideally suited for distribution in convenience stores, gas stations, train stations, and airports. However, they often fail to gain the attention of shop operators.

With the Young Taste Of Convenience Award MCS wants to bring food startups into the spotlight of the industry and at the same time expand the product range in the shops with product innovations.

“Especially because the medium-sized MCS wholesalers are also family-run, supporting young entrepreneurs is important to us,”

says MCS Managing Director Torsten Eichinger to announce the award.

The winner of the competition will receive a listing of the product in wholesale and retail stores nationwide and a marketing package worth over €35,000.
