Webgeist Online Positioning was awarded the 2017 Strategy Prize for Innovation on April 21, 2017. The prize was presented in Kassel during a celebratory evening event at the Strategy Congress of the German Strategy Forum Association.
The Strategy Award is an annual recognition of achievements applying the Mewes Strategy, also known as the Bottleneck-Focused Strategy (EKS). A special focus is placed on the outstanding implementation of the corporate strategy in practice. Past winners include renowned companies such as Trigema, Town & Country Haus, and Bodystreet Fitness Studios.
Unique selling point developed
The reason for the award is stated on the StrategieForum ev website:
"The search engine optimization (SEO) sector has become a huge, highly competitive market with comparable services. Price wars are looming here. Lisa and Richard Sirch, with their company Webgeist, are demonstrating that things can be done differently."
In the SEO sector, they have positioned themselves differently than most of the industry with a promising concept and thus developed a unique selling point:
"The positioning and problem-solving capabilities of their target group of business consultants are the focus. The goal is not only to bring many visitors to the website, but also the right ones."
Even though the concept has matured over many years — co-founder Richard Sirch already looks back on 16 years of SEO experience — Web Spirit in its current form only since July 2016. The founders are all the more pleased about the “Strategy Award 2017” after only 10 months of company existence.
