Cluster success 2017: BioM wins with startup accelerator inQLab

On April 20, OrganicM at the annual conference of the nationwide program “go-cluster” the award “Cluster Success 2017” for its startup accelerator inQLabThis offers comprehensive support to founders in the life sciences sector.

For 20 years, Bio has supportedM both small and medium-sized enterprises and biotechnology startups. With the help of the Leading-Edge Cluster funding, the offerings for startups were significantly expanded and combined with the m4 Award, a pre-start-up competition for the medicine of the future was launched. This is now firmly anchored in the Bavarian budget and awards annually 2.5 million euros to academic founding teams.

Virtual startup accelerator for the medicine of the future

In addition, further offerings have been developed, which together form a virtual startup accelerator for the medicine of the future: The Mentor Circle offers a pool of around 50 experienced biotech and pharmaceutical experts who provide voluntary support to prospective and young entrepreneurs. In an intensive training format BioEntrepreneur Bootcamp Founding teams can evaluate their business idea, get in touch with their first customers and key players, and meet industry and investor representatives. Pitch Doctor-Sessions, founding teams refine their presentation and receive open, constructive feedback.

First BioEntrepreneurship Summit in October

In 2016, the BioEntrepreneur Lounge, which offers founders the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from experienced founders four to five times a year. BioAngelsThe network launched in 2017 with an event where six pre-selected startup teams had the opportunity to present their business ideas to around 30 investor representatives. The event will take place two to three times a year.
