The “FounderChampions” Award is presented by KfW Banking Group since 1998 to young companies from all over Germany. Apply by August 1st!
With its renowned competition, KfW honors one company from each German state. A national winner is also selected from the 16 state winners. At the awards ceremony, the public also selects a winner. In addition to a cash prize, the winners also receive PR support.
What is important?
The jury evaluates the business idea based on its degree of innovation and creativity. Another important factor for the award is that it creates social added value. Also important are the environmental awareness of the implementation and the extent to which jobs and training opportunities have been created or maintained. Companies from all sectors are eligible to apply. The prerequisite is that the company was founded after 2010 or was acquired as part of a succession.
What is there to win?
The awards ceremony will take place as part of the German Founders and Entrepreneurs Days (deGUT) in Berlin on 8.10.2015 The 16 Founder Champions will be invited to Berlin from October 8 to 10, 2015. The state winners will each receive €1,000, and the national winner selected from this group will receive an additional €9,000. This prize is awarded to the startup that excels with a particularly innovative or creative idea and/or excels in terms of social responsibility. The Audience Award is endowed with an additional €5,000.
