New round, new luck: The program for herCAREER, the career fair for women, is online. Visitors can expect numerous discussions, presentations, and career meetups on the topic of entrepreneurship.
The herCAREER offers a platform for the personal exchange of knowledge and experiences as well as the development of new networks with personalities from politics, business and science.
One goal of the career fair for women is to make founders visible – and to take away the fear of the challenge for potential self-employed people. Ruth Schöllhammer from the German Founders Association is convinced that founding a business is more of an opportunity than a risk:
“An opportunity for more freedom and independence, for more self-realization and satisfaction.”
Dr. Florian Langenscheidt, publisher, bestselling author and venture capitalist, even believes
"that the true heroes of today shouldn't just be athletes, actors, and pop stars, but entrepreneurs who make our lives more diverse, safer, easier, and more affordable. herCAREER is the right place to convince visitors that starting a business makes you happy."

What makes an entrepreneur and what an idea needs to become a viable concept for a startup is something Thomas Reiter He has written a book that he will present at herCAREER. Reiter is an economist at the University of St. Gallen – and has been an entrepreneur since he was 16.

To ensure that founders and visitors are on the same page, herCAREER relies on the "Career MeetUp" format. Experts meet with visitors and exchange ideas on a wide range of topics: "How do I find an investor?", "How do I scale my business?", and "Financing with the crowd – what do I need to consider?" are just three of the questions that can be addressed in small groups. Among those present will be Anna Yona, founder of Wildling Shoes and mother of three, and Katharina Mayer, founder and managing director of Cake gossipMeike Haagmans is also on site. She is a full-time flight attendant, but alongside her work in Düsseldorf, she founded the startup Joventours, a travel agency for South America.
However, herCAREER is not only aimed specifically at female founders and entrepreneurs, but also offers a platform for all those who want to actively contribute their experience and knowledge, for example in the search for investors or in crowdfunding.
Visitors can expect two jam-packed days at herCAREER: Over 180 exhibitors and partners have been secured, over 60 presentations and panel discussions, and over 90 career meetups and job offer talks are on the agenda.
