Smartvillage secures growth capital

Smartvillage receives seven-figure funding and is pushing ahead with its expansion and a new AI-powered solution for hotels.

Smartvillage GmbH has secured growth financing in the mid-seven-figure range. The investor is the Stuttgart-based investment company EKK & Co. Smartvillage operates B2B event venues for meetings, workshops, and conferences. Pursue Smartvillage is responding to changing work realities: remote work is becoming increasingly established, traditional offices are losing relevance, and artificial intelligence is transforming work processes. At the same time, companies face the challenge of maintaining team culture and innovative strength in hybrid structures. This is precisely where Smartvillage positions itself, with data-driven, AI-supported concepts along the entire customer journey.

Expansion and new platform strategy

Smartvillage is entering its next growth phase with this funding. Two new locations will open in Frankfurt and Hamburg within the next twelve months. The company currently operates two locations in Munich, as well as others in Cologne and Berlin.

In parallel, Smartvillage is developing the product "smartvillage as a service." This solution is aimed at hotels that want to outsource their conference facilities. The company handles the brand, technology, sales, and operations. This is intended to increase hotels' space efficiency and reduce costs, while Smartvillage focuses on its... New working world as a growth driver

In the long term, Smartvillage sees itself as part of a new infrastructure for the working world and understands physical interaction as a strategic factor in modern work. Teams use the locations specifically for intensive work phases. This should allow companies to reduce fixed costs for office space and invest strategically in high-quality in-person formats.

Co-founder and CEO Lukas Koppitz says:

"Artificial intelligence makes knowledge work more efficient, but it doesn't replace human connection. We see in many companies that purely digital collaboration can lead to less engagement, lower identification, and decreased innovation in the long run. That's why our locations are deliberately designed as places for focused collaboration. Not as offices, but as infrastructure for those moments when teams really need to come together."

Investor too Moritz Reck emphasizes:

"The way collaboration takes place in companies is noticeably changing. Personal interaction is becoming more important again. This is precisely where Smartvillage comes in, creating spaces where collaboration can truly be experienced. We were particularly impressed by the uncompromising clarity with which the team developed this concept regarding digital infrastructure, branding, and operational implementation. We are convinced of the team behind Smartvillage and are very much looking forward to taking the next steps in growth together."
