The local award of the German Founders' Prize competition is endowed with 5,000 euros. The organizer is the Stadtsparkasse München.

In the competition, all companies that have been on the market for less than three years are considered startups.
The "Bee sauna" is a device for controlling the Varroa mite, which is blamed for the death of bees. Through heat treatment, it is intended to enable beekeepers to maintain the health of their bee colonies at low cost and without the use of poison.
"WITHOUT the packaging-free supermarket" on Munich's Schellingstraße offers unpackaged, regional, organic produce. Customers bring their own containers for the goods.
Sustainability and environmental protection convince the Founders’ Prize jury
The two winning startups scored points for their ecological focus, says Marlies Mirbeth:
