New startup strategy: Help shape it now!

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy is seeking ideas from the startup community for its new startup and scaleup strategy. Founders can submit proposals online until September 8, 2025.

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy is launching the stakeholder process for the new Startup and scaleup strategy of the Federal Government. Founders, investors, and experts from business, science, and administration can submit their proposals until September 8, 2025. This offers the Munich startup community the opportunity to actively shape key aspects of the strategy.

With its new startup strategy, the German government aims to improve the framework conditions for young companies in Germany. The goal is to increase the international visibility of "Made in Germany" innovations and increase the competitiveness of the economy. To this end, the projects outlined in the coalition agreement will be combined with practical ideas from the community.

Survey topics

The focus will be on key questions that encourage participants to evaluate location factors. Topics discussed include financing conditions for startups in Germany and the possible introduction of a digital platform that enables startups to be founded within 24 hours. After the summer break, the feedback will be used in thematic workshops to further develop the startup strategy.

Based on this feedback, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy will develop a proposal for the new startup strategy and then coordinate it with other federal ministries. The measures should be practical and implementable in the short term in order to quickly improve the conditions for startups and scaleups.

The Munich startup community can have a direct impact with its experiences and ideas. Those who work daily on the opportunities and challenges facing young companies know the needs best.
