Drimco has closed a pre-Series A financing round of €4.3 million ($5 million). The round is led by venture capital firm Ventech, with additional investors including Bayern Kapital and Siemens Technology Accelerator. The fresh funds will be used to further develop its AI product. “Drim” and the expansion of the team.
Drimco is developing a platform for AI-based requirements analysis that supports industrial companies in particular with tenders and requests for proposals. The goal is to efficiently capture and evaluate complex customer requirements and industry standards, thus enabling a rapid, error-free proposal.
AI agent for industry
The company was founded in 2020 by Pankaj Gupta, Bernt Andrassy, and Costin Cozan. The Drim platform is based on proprietary, multi-patented AI technology. Several specialized AI agents work together and draw on historical project knowledge. This reduces the effort required for bid preparation and reduces project risks.
Customers already include international industrial companies such as Siemens, KSB, Royal Smit, and Innomotics. Drimco claims to have analyzed over 100 million requirements. A close OEM partnership with Siemens Digital Industries further strengthens the startup's position.
"We are pleased with the successful completion of the financing round and the trust of our investors. The investment accelerates the further development of Drim's AI agents – including the agent 'GPTender', which automatically extracts critical product configurations and revolutionizes the understanding of complex requirements. 'GPTender' also enables natural language interaction with customer specifications, norms, and standards based on the knowledge base generated by Drim,"
say the founders and managing directors Pankaj Gupta, Bernt Andrassy and Costin Cozan. And further:
"This investment strengthens our role as an innovation driver in the industrial AI sector, supports our customers in their digital transformation – in line with the highest EU standards on data protection, transparency, and traceability – and lays the foundation for further growth and the acquisition of top talent. This is an important step in our mission to become the market leader in AI-supported requirements analysis."
Monika Steger, Managing Director of Bavaria Capital, explains the commitment as follows:
"Tenders and requests for proposals, especially in industries where customer requirements and industry standards are often technologically complex, pose a major challenge for many companies: quickly navigating this complexity in order to submit a bid or risk losing the contract to a competitor. Drimco and its AI-based bid analysis platform offer companies in this situation an innovative solution with the potential to generate significant added value. The Drimco team also has highly relevant industry and technology expertise – particularly in AI – strong intellectual property in the form of 15 patents, and a solid first-time customer base in key industries with strong customer loyalty. All of these aspects make the investment in Drimco an investment with great potential for us."
