IDnow sold to American investment company

Munich-based identity verification platform provider IDnow announces a majority acquisition by private equity firm Corsair Capital. The investment is intended to further accelerate growth and expand its market leadership.

The Munich-based startup IDnow has been developing AI-supported technologies for identity verification since its founding in 2014. The solutions meet the high security standards of global companies in industries such as financial services, telecommunications, and mobility.

Already in 2019 Corsair invested in IDnow – at that time in the form of a minority stake. Since then, the company has expanded its portfolio and completed two strategic acquisitions. the startup into new regions and also took part in France a leading position. The current majority acquisition is intended to further accelerate growth.
