Arx Robotics is a manufacturer of unmanned autonomous land systems for use in military and commercial applications. Last year NATO, among others, invested with its Innovation Fund in the startup. The startup is now announcing the opening of the largest production facility for autonomous unmanned ground systems in Europe. The official inauguration took place in the presence of members of the Bundestag Florian Hahn (CSU) and Andreas Lenz (CSU).
Marc Wietfeld, Co-founder and CEO of Arx Robotics, commented:
"The opening of our new factory is a significant step – both for our company and for our commitment to supporting Ukraine. Europe's armed forces face structural challenges in terms of personnel and equipment. Unmanned systems offer the opportunity to close this capability gap – provided they can be produced at scale with a European supply chain. Our new production facility is a critical milestone on this path to strengthening Europe's strategic technological sovereignty and resilience."
Florian Hahn, Member of the German Bundestag (CSU), states:
"Innovation requires courage and support, and this requires taking responsibility. Germany's role in the European security architecture will be significantly shaped by pioneering companies, particularly in areas such as software-defined defense and artificial intelligence."
With the commissioning of the new production facility, the start-up can further scale its manufacturing capacities, establish new strategic partnerships, and advance the development of innovative autonomous defense systems. This expansion is intended to strengthen European defense capabilities and ensure that armed forces have access to state-of-the-art technology and powerful, mass-scalable solutions.
In the past six months, Arx Robotics has already increased its production capacity 30-fold and enabled industrial series production. Robots from Arx deployed on a large scale in Ukraine. The startup was able to deliver the largest fleet of Western-designed unmanned ground systems (UGS) to the Ukrainian armed forces.
