Munich startups in the final at Generation-D

Two Munich-based startups, Allunderground and Social Guide, made it to the winners' podium at the Generation-D impact startup competition. The competition is open exclusively to companies whose projects address at least one of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Over 200 applications from startups in the DACH region dedicated to the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were received at Generation-D 2024. The six best teams ultimately pitched their projects to an experienced jury and a dedicated audience.

Allunderground & Socialguide awarded

First place and prize money of 6,000 euros went to AllundergroundThe Munich-based startup offers a significantly more sustainable alternative to the current industry standard with its innovative tunnel boring solution. Automated, efficient, and environmentally friendly, that's how founders Kilian Schmid and Benedikt Seel describe their solution. The two were the winners of the Elon Musk Not-a-Boring Competition 2023 and have already UnternehmerTUM Funding for Innovators receive.

Frontier Fuels secured second place and €4,000. Third place and €3,000 went to a Munich-based startup, Socialguide. The team also received the Audience Award and an additional €2,000. The other finalists, Jause:Pause, VetRec, and Phaeosynt, also impressed the jury with their creative approaches and commitment to the SDGs.

Last Saturday, the Generation-D startup competition celebrated an inspiring conclusion with its finale. At Brainlab's Munich headquarters, six outstanding startups from the DACH region dedicated to the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were able to present their visionary projects to a distinguished jury.
