LMU Innovation Incubator: Applications now open

Students, researchers, and employees of Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) who wish to establish a company based on their scientific findings can apply for the new edition of the LMU Innovation Incubator until September 29.

The LMU Innovation Incubator is a three-month early-stage startup program for teams of researchers, current and former students, and staff. The incubator offers the opportunity to explore and validate ideas for high-impact innovations at the interface of academia, science, and industry. Within the program, participants have the opportunity to find co-founders and early investors, as well as become part of the IEC startup community.

In three Innovation Lab sessions in October, November, and December, potential startups will learn how to transform their research into an innovative company through various workshop modules. They will also participate in tailored consulting and individual coaching sessions.

To apply for the LMU Innovation Incubator, interested parties must meet the following requirements:

  • Research results that solve a clearly defined problem
  • Idea / product / service is clearly applicable
  • Idea / product is in an early stage (pre-seed, prototype)
  • If ideas/innovations are financed by external investors, there must be clarity about intellectual property
  • Time and commitment to participate in the program and work purposefully on the idea

Further information and all details on how to apply can be found hereThe submission deadline is September 29. The program will start in October 2024.
