Solation: The tenant electricity concept involves supplying electricity generated on the roof of a rental building or in its immediate vicinity directly to the building's tenants. This would allow locally generated electricity from renewable sources to be used directly on-site, which would not only decentralize the power grid, but also serve as an incentive for landlords to install solar panels on the roofs of their buildings. However, high administrative hurdles make this difficult. The startup Solation has developed solutions for this – and simultaneously links tenant electricity with social commitment.
