Crafthunt secures 3 million euros in seed round

With an investment of three million euros, the Munich-based startup Crafthunt plans to further expand its career platform for the construction industry and tap into new markets. The funding comes from UVC Partners, among others.

Crafthunt is committed to combating the shortage of skilled workers in the construction industry. Support this mission UVC Partners, Redstone and some angel investors with three million euros.

The shortage of skilled workers is one of the biggest challenges currently facing the German economy, especially the construction industry. To address this problem, Crafthunt has developed an app-based solution.

The startup offers companies an AI-powered matching system that connects job openings with suitable talent groups at home and abroad. Furthermore, client companies can enhance their employer branding beyond their location with meaningful profiles. Based on this information, the algorithm identifies suitable candidates with the required skills. The AI translates this information and the chat between applicants and companies into 21 languages. Crafthunt thus facilitates access to the local labor market for foreign skilled workers.

Jonas Stamm, founder and CEO of Crafthunt, explains:

“Our goal is to be the leading provider of HR solutions in Europe and beyond and to become an integral part of the global HR systems for construction companies and trades businesses.”

“Crafthunt is uniquely positioned”

Ingo Potthof, Managing Partner at UVC Partners and one of the leading investors, comments:

“As a VC, we have been observing the increasingly critical developments in the construction and real estate industry for years and have therefore invested strategically in startups such as Capmo and Premium invested. Crafthunt, with its excellent knowledge of the construction industry combined with advanced technology and AI expertise, is uniquely positioned to effectively address the complex requirements of the construction industry and customer needs, thus preventing future construction stoppages and delays due to skilled labor shortages."

Niklas Grunewald, Managing Partner of Redstone Built World, concludes:

"We firmly believe in the value of vertical SaaS products in complex and manual environments like construction, where customer needs aren't met by generalist HR software. Crafthunt has a unique opportunity to build an industry-defining product suite and help the industry solve talent access problems."

With the fresh capital, Crafthunt plans to expand its platform and explore new markets for recruiting skilled professionals. In the future, additional products and services related to expert search and talent matching will complement the offering.
