Two out of three construction projects in Germany are completed late or with significant defects, rents are exploding, and not just in Munich, and the construction industry as a whole is the largest polluter of all. It's not surprising that the construction industry is the least digitalized sector in Germany after hunting and fishing.
At Capmo We have set ourselves the ambitious goal of digitizing the analog construction and real estate industry to make it more sustainable and efficient. To this end, we offer architects and engineers a simple tool for automating daily project work. Specifically, users can access current construction plans anywhere and at any time (even offline) via the Capmo app and web app, record, distribute, and track tasks, and thus coordinate the entire construction process. Design and intuitive usability are our top priorities.
Capmo already plays a crucial role on hundreds of construction sites, ensuring the successful opening of hospitals, solar parks, and new apartments. In addition to architects, developers and tradespeople also use the software for their projects. These include the Hilton Hotel in Munich, the renovation of the Oberpollinger department store, and ALDI and Rossmann stores.
Capmo was founded in early 2018 by four Munich-based entrepreneurs, Dr.-Ing. Patrick Christ, Florian Biller, Florian Ettlinger, and Sebastian Schlecht, who met while studying together at Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM). Since its founding, the young company has already acquired over 75 customers, grown to 15 employees, and successfully closed a seed financing round of nearly €2 million in December. We are a diverse mix of disciplines and nationalities, working purposefully toward becoming the leading digital tool for the construction industry!
