I-care Award is once again looking for digital innovations in care

Startups and young companies whose solutions ease the daily workload of professional caregivers and enable quality nursing care can once again apply for the I-care Award from the pharmaceutical company Servier. The application deadline is May 31.

The I-care Award recognizes up to three digital innovations that enable caregivers in outpatient care services, day care centers, hospitals, or inpatient care facilities to devote more time and quality to direct contact with patients and those in need of care, thus making care more humane.

To be eligible to apply, startups must be based in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland. They must also be less than five years old (founded after January 1, 2019) and have fewer than 100 employees at the time of application. Furthermore, their product should have been on the German market for at least three years – the deadline is January 1, 2021.

Presentation of the I-care Award

Servier's goal with the I-care Award is to identify, recognize, and publicize innovations through the award ceremony. Therefore, the award will be presented as part of the German Nursing Day in Berlin in November 2024. The first-place winners will also receive funding of up to €5,000. An interdisciplinary jury will decide on the winners. The application deadline is 31 May 2024.

Among the companies that have already received the I-care Award is CliniserveThe Munich-based startup won the award in 2021. Cliniserve's digital mobile application enables nurses and hospital staff to spend more time with patients. Smart task management helps reduce duplicate walking and time-consuming phone calls, and prioritize and delegate tasks.
