\"Reverion\"<\/a>
1st place:<\/strong> First place is secured in December Reverion<\/strong> with a Sprind grant of three million euros. The Munich-based startup receives the funding as part of the Sprind Challenge \u201cLong-Duration Energy Storage\u201d<\/a>Reverion is developing power plants that are expected to achieve an efficiency of up to 80 percent when converting biogas into electricity. Above all, however, the small power plants are characterized by their ability to operate "reversely." 2nd place:<\/strong> With its rebranding, Off<\/strong> \u2013 formerly Camperboys \u2013 takes second place in our December Startups of the Month list. According to the travel startup, founded in 2016, the reason for the name change was not due to external circumstances such as economic necessity, backlash, or internal restructuring. Rather, the new name aims to become more inclusive and not exclude anyone. The team has grown since its founding seven years ago and now consists of over 150 employees, according to the company. 3rd place:<\/strong> At the beginning of December, the Munich-based fintech Scalable Capital<\/strong> one Announce 60 million euros equity financing<\/a>. The expansion of the Series E financing round is led by the VC firm Balderton Capital. Scalable Capital has been providing private investors with access to digital investments since 2014. Launched as a digital asset manager, the fintech expanded its platform in 2020 to include a full-service brokerage offering. Today, the broker's clients from Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands can invest in ETFs, stocks, funds, bonds, cryptocurrencies, and derivatives. 4th place:<\/strong> Also among the top 5 startups in December is Tacto<\/strong> with a financing notification. The AI startup raised 50 million euros<\/a>Sequoia Capital and Index Ventures are the lead investors in the round. Tacto has developed a "supply chain operating system": a centralized management of supplier relationships for medium-sized industrial companies. The AI-based software is designed to enable strategic supplier management, straightforward compliance with ESG regulations, and efficient and sustainable material procurement at optimized conditions. 5th place:<\/strong> Last but not least, Heyfam<\/strong> to the startups of the month of December. In the special episode of "The Lion's Den - Finally Christmas," the lions met founders with contemplative business ideas, Heyfam from Munich was also there<\/a>Heyfam founder Milana Mark presented her app for family and friendship organization, featuring data-based gifting, on the show. Her idea was a winning one, and she walked away with a deal worth over \u20ac150,000.
