The consortium EIT Food<\/a>, funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, is the world's largest innovation network in the agrifood sector. The EIT Food Seedbed program is currently seeking innovative technology solutions that aim to contribute to the renewal of the food system, including agriculture. Teams with at least one team member from the EU and non-EU European countries are eligible to apply, with habitual residence being the determining factor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funding of up to 10,000 euros<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The program will run over six months. Participating teams will receive support with market validation from proven industry experts and mentors, as well as specially tailored qualification modules. The program will be conducted online and will also include two in-person events in Bilbao (kick-off) and a closing event in a European metropolis, the location of which has not yet been determined. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants will receive funding of up to \u20ac10,000 to cover market validation and travel costs. They will also be granted access to the European EIT Food network, which consists of companies, universities, research institutes, and startups from the agrifood sector. Applications for the Seedbed program are open until February 28, 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexander M\u00e4rdian<\/strong>, Head of the Innovation Hub of the DIL German Institute of Food Technology, has been involved in the implementation of EIT Food Seedbed for five years and says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"For the international market validation of deep-tech solutions, EIT Food Seedbed is certainly one of the best programs on the market for founders and those aspiring to start a business. After completing the program, participants usually have a very good understanding of their target groups and markets or have adapted their business model accordingly. The program is focused, easy to combine with participation in other programs, and time-efficient. Access to European network and consortium partners offers a unique opportunity for international exchange with companies, startups, investors, and research institutions."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
