The online portal Spaces4Scaleups was recently launched. The web platform and the underlying network will enable startups to more easily and quickly create flexible Office space <\/a>without the need for a broker. Because here, on the one hand, startups are selected space offers presented<\/a> and made more accessible for scaleups. On the other hand, network partners from the real estate industry introduce themselves, so founders know exactly who offers which services and who is the best fit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The platform was implemented by Munich Business, the economic development agency of the City of Munich, with support from network partners from the real estate industry \u2013 led by Accumulata \u2013 and the Munich startup Shareyourspace<\/a>, a platform for the brokerage of unused office space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suitable offers for scaleups <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Clemens Baumg\u00e4rtner<\/strong>, Minister for Labor and Economic Affairs of the City of Munich, on the launch of the Spaces4Scaleups website:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"Finding space isn't easy, especially for scaleups: Affordable, small-scale spaces are scarce, and they're also rented for shorter periods. This is where we can help: The new Spaces4Scaleups portal offers targeted support from a single source. With this modern web platform, we, as the economic development agency, together with our dedicated network partners from the Munich real estate industry, are making flexible and suitable space offers for scaleups more accessible and, above all, faster."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The "Spaces for Scaleups" network of private providers, curated by Munich Business, launched in 2021 to provide more options for scaleups with space requirements beyond 100 square meters. Shortened search processes and direct placement save startups valuable time and money. And the often necessary move to larger spaces is made easier. There are already 15 network partners on the platform, currently adding around 20 needs-based space offers to the portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How space providers benefit from Spaces4Scaleups<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of these is Accumulata. Through this operator, startups can find flexible, modern office space in various sizes at affordable prices. Bettina Stadler<\/strong>, Managing Director at Accumulata Operations, says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThrough our involvement with Spaces4Scaleups and the associated support of startups, we are contributing to the future development of competitive business locations.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

And the network also offers great potential for the operators themselves, Stadler explains:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"Spaces4Scaleups offers space providers a unique opportunity to significantly increase the future viability of their office properties. Participation not only enables short-term gains but also opens up long-term strategic advantages."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

After all, today's startups are not only potentially long-term major customers, but also increase the attractiveness of existing properties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Startup on board for development<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Shareyourspace, a Munich-based startup, was also involved in the implementation of the platform. Tobias Wagner<\/strong>, founder and CEO of Shareyourspace, is pleased to be able to offer a digital booking option in the project. He believes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"Spaces4Scaleups is what it takes to quickly and efficiently supply innovative, young companies with space\u2014the right workspace for their next growth spurt. At preferential terms. In other words, a special workspace service instead of gross floor area measurement chains, hundred-page leases, and an army of brokers."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
