With the aim of honoring entrepreneurs for their achievements, EY again sought the most passionate and innovative entrepreneurs in the country<\/a>20 owner-managed medium-sized companies reached the finals. An independent jury selected the winners of the title "EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2023" in the categories "Family Business," "Innovation," "Sustainability," and "Young Companies." There was also an honorary award for exceptional entrepreneurial and social commitment, as well as an audience award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the \u201cYoung Companies\u201d category, the jury members honored Hanno Renner, CEO and co-founder of Personio<\/a>, as well as Jonas Rieke, COO of the Munich-based company. On LinkedIn, Racer<\/strong> about the award:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"While Jonas and I were honored to be selected by EY from an inspiring group of finalists for the 'Entrepreneur Of The Year Award,' this award isn't really about us. It reflects the hard work of Personio's incredible team of more than 1,800 individuals who put their heart and soul into what they do. This recognition is a gentle nudge for all of us to continue innovating and focusing on serving and supporting our more than 10,000 clients every day."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEntrepreneur Of The Year\u201d: The other award winners<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In addition to Personio, the Deggendorf-based power storage and energy management producer Fenecon won both the "Sustainability" category and the Audience Award. The Ostfildern-based travel publishing group MairDumont won the "Family Business" category. The honorary award for exceptional entrepreneurial and social commitment went to the W\u00fcrth Group from K\u00fcnzelsau. The medical device manufacturer Bentley InnoMed from Hechingen received the award in the "Innovation" category and will represent Germany in the "World Entrepreneur of the Year" election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Henrik Ahlers<\/strong>, Chairman of the Management Board at EY, says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"We live in economically turbulent times, and entrepreneurs are feeling the numerous challenges facing their companies, products, and employees every day. In this often confusing situation, outstanding entrepreneurs maintain a clear perspective. They seize opportunities where others wait\u2014perhaps more than ever now. For the 27th time, the auditing and consulting organization EY has also named the "Entrepreneur of the Year" in Germany.
