\"Gastimate<\/a>
1st place:<\/strong> The first place in our 'Startup of the Month' in November goes to Gastimate Technologies<\/strong>, also known under the product name Gasvisor, based in the Munich Technology Center. The Munich-based startup successfully completed its first financing round at the beginning of the month, raising 600,000 euros<\/a>The investor round consisted of renowned business angels from the DACH region, led by Jens Wesselmann and Nick Burmeister. With its smart IoT product, Gasvisor, Gastimate Technologies aims to help visualize the fill level of CO2 cylinders and simultaneously digitize the cylinders. In this way, Gasvisor is intended to help automate and simplify the management and ordering of CO2. The funds raised will now be used to bring the MVP product into series production, introduce it to customers, and deepen existing partnerships. 2nd place: <\/strong>Second place in November goes to Agile Robots<\/strong>. The Munich-based provider of robotics solutions announced the acquisition of Franka Emika earlier this month<\/a>The robotics company Franka Emika, founded in 2016, had to file for insolvency in August of this year after being unable to secure follow-up financing. At the same time, the Munich I public prosecutor's office is investigating the startup for subsidy fraud, as first reported by Bayerischer Rundfunk. The company is accused of continuing to work full-time despite receiving short-time work benefits. Agile Robots is now acquiring the struggling company for an undisclosed sum. According to Business Insider, the transaction involved \u20ac33 million. The company plans to continue operating Franka Emika with its approximately 100 employees. The company also plans to invest in the company's further growth in Bavaria. As was announced in mid-November, The Munich-based company takes over the business process management specialist Symbio from Aschheim<\/a>The combination of Process Mining (Celonis) and Business Process Management (Symbio) is intended to enable the so-called mining-first approach. This means that companies can implement data-driven process optimization at every stage of the process lifecycle \u2013 starting with the design phase. It also aims to facilitate the transformation of existing processes, for example, by analyzing them with all their workflows and interactions. Users can then develop their ideal process based on real data and, for example, remove redundant steps, simplify processes, and standardize or automate tasks. The veterinary medicine startup secured 5.1 million euros in a seed round in November<\/a>The investment was led by London-based VC DN Capital and Munich-based healthtech VC YZR Capital. The Vimajo Family Office, as well as existing Filu investors Rivus Ventures and Auxxo Female Catalyst Fund, also participated. At the beginning of 2022, the three founders, Lena Naderer (CVO), Christian K\u00f6hler (CEO), and Justus Buchen (COO), joined forces to make veterinary visits a truly feel-good experience for veterinarians and pet owners. The team plans to use the fresh capital to expand the technology surrounding its personalized AI coaching platform and prepare for expansion into the US. The core of Retorio's technology is behavioral intelligence, which uses video analysis to identify and train successful behaviors among sales, service, and management staff.
