According to figures published by Flix for the first half of the year, from January to the end of June this year, over 36 million people travelled globally with Flixbus<\/a>, Flixtrain, Greyhound in the USA, and Kamil Koc in Turkey. This represents growth of 53 percent. Total revenue for the Flix Group amounted to \u20ac860 million, an increase of 54 percent over the same period last year (\u20ac557 million). This makes it the most successful first half of the year in the company's history. The company also reported adjusted EBITDA of \u20ac26 million\u2014an increase of \u20ac85 million over the previous year\u2014and a corresponding margin of three percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andr\u00e9 Schw\u00e4mmlein<\/strong>, CEO and co-founder of the company, says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"Flix is successfully delivering sustainable and profitable growth. We are on track in all segments and were able to significantly expand our offerings in many markets in the first half of the year. Flix is a global travel tech success story."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Flix is growing in all markets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A large part of Flix's business takes place in Europe, where the mobility company<\/a> From January to the end of June, 24 million passengers traveled, representing a 75 percent increase in passenger traffic compared to the same period last year. Revenue amounted to \u20ac477 million (up 91 percent). According to the company, over 2,000 European stops were connected to the Flix network in June. With the first routes to Finland and Greece, the entire mainland of the European Union is now part of the Flixbus network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the USA, Canada, and Mexico, over five million people traveled with Flixbus and Greyhound (up 33 percent). Revenue rose by 19 percent to a total of \u20ac279 million. In Turkey, over 6.8 million people (up 14 percent) traveled with the Flix subsidiary Kamil Koc, generating revenue of \u20ac88 million (up 34 percent). The Munich-based company also further expanded its offerings in Brazil and plans to launch in Chile this year.
