Helsing closes further financing and becomes the next Munich unicorn:<\/strong> Founded in 2021, the startup positions itself as a new type of defense company focused on AI-based capabilities to protect European democracies. The startup aims to upgrade existing weapons systems with AI that analyzes information received from onboard sensors. In its Series B funding round, Hellsing raised a total of 209 million euros<\/a> The lead investor is US investor General Catalyst. The Swedish Saab Group is also participating as a strategic investor, thus deepening the existing partnership. Egym receives record financing of 207 million euros:<\/strong> The financial injection for the fitness technology company Egym comes from its new investor Affinity Partners, a global investment firm based in Miami, USA, as well as existing investors Mayfair Equity Partners and Bayern Kapital. 207 million euros<\/a> The financing round is one of the largest in the portfolio of seed investor High-Tech Gr\u00fcnderfonds (HTGF). \u20ac107 million will be invested immediately, with a further \u20ac100 million available for future investments. Investments will focus on the development of further innovative digital solutions for health-oriented training and the massive expansion of the corporate fitness network Wellpass. Lilium raises another 171 million euros:<\/strong> The current financing for Lilium is divided into several phases. Back in May, Tencent pledged a cash injection of \u20ac89 million ($100 million). The tech giant also pledged to invest a further \u20ac67 million ($75 million) if Lilium succeeded in raising the same amount from other investors. The flying taxi company has now apparently succeeded. Lilium announced that it has raised \u20ac67 million ($75 million) through the placement of additional shares. Direct account-to-account payments eliminate the need for intermediaries like Visa and thus their transaction fees. Fernride expands Series-A to 47 million euros: <\/strong>Fernride has already raised \u20ac29.1 million ($31 million) in Series A funding for its remote-controlled trucks. Fernride is funded by venture capitalists 10x Founders, Promus Ventures, Fly Ventures, Speedinvest, and Push Ventures. HHLA Next, DB Schenker, and Krone are also supporting the startup. The German Deep Tech and Climate Fund (DTCF) has now joined this group with the expansion of its Series A round.
