Arx Landsysteme builds and operates autonomous single-to-multi-userobot<\/a> for various applications, so-called UGVs (Unmanned Ground Vehicles). They are based on a universal robot platform that can be flexibly equipped with various add-on and payload solutions. This allows the startup to customize its UGV for various security and defense-related scenarios. Arx's goal is to support soldiers and civilian first responders in making better decisions and acting more effectively in life-threatening situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the defense sector, Arx robots are intended to be used as intelligent, mobile targets for firing exercises. They can also detect and deceive enemy forces by acting as decoys and alarm devices. In the future, Arx's AI-supported software will allow the robots to operate autonomously in a swarm, supporting each other. For commercial and civilian users, the Munich startup<\/a> The idea is for rescue services to use the robot to explore difficult terrain. In disaster areas, they could then transport mobile relays, for example, to provide internet connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arx relies on dual-use robots<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Arx's first robots are being tested by defense companies and various armed forces, including the armies of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Estonia. The startup, founded in 2021 as a spinout from the Bundeswehr University of Munich, has now successfully attracted its first investors. The pre-seed round, led by Berlin-based VC Project A, raised \u20ac1.15 million. The Munich-based company plans to invest primarily in expanding the team, further developing the technology, and scaling production capacities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uwe Horstmann<\/strong>, General Partner at Project A, says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"Arx has the potential to become a European player in the field of unmanned autonomous ground vehicles for military and civilian purposes.
