Follow-up interview with Lanes & Planes:<\/strong> How is the startup Lanes & Planes, founded in 2017 by Veit Blumschein and Daniel Nolte, doing? The all-in-one solution for business travel offers a software solution for companies to manage travel services, bookings, invoicing, and expense reports. With this idea, the startup convinced investors shortly after its founding and also raised $10 million in Series A funding in March 2020. Despite pandemic-related slumps in the travel market, the travel tech company grew its workforce and revenue. Munich Startup Award:<\/strong> It all began at Bits & Pretzels 2016: For the first time, Munich Startup presented the Munich Startup Award, endowed with 5,000 euros, to the Munich startup that had performed best in the founders' festival's pitch competition. The ceremony didn't take place just anywhere, but in the middle of Oktoberfest \u2013 except during the coronavirus pandemic, of course. Since this year, however, a lot has changed: The award is now part of the Munich Startup Festival \u2013 Deepdrive won the award at the first edition \u2013 and in the future, the Munich Startup Special Prize will be presented at Bits & Pretzels to the best Munich startup at Bits & Pretzels.
