Developed a special robot for Industry 4.0 Roundpeg Technologies<\/a><\/strong>This system is designed to recognize people in its surroundings, allowing the startup to actively prevent accidents, even at high work speeds. Founders Oliver Krieg and Etienne Eichstaedt aim to revolutionize production with their invention and drastically reduce the costs of using automated solutions on assembly lines. In an interview with Munich Startup, Oliver Krieg explains: "We don't need a fence because our robot recognizes people and doesn't endanger them. \"Sewts\"<\/a>
Has just completed a fresh financing Sewts<\/a><\/strong>The startup, founded in 2019 by former mechanical engineering students Alexander Bley, Tim Doerks, and Till Rickert, is working on technologies for the automated processing of deformable materials, such as textiles or films. Due to their complex material properties, these materials have so far been excluded from advances in automation technology. To this end, the Munich-based robotics startup has developed control and image processing software that enables robots to predict the behavior of dimensionally unstable materials when gripping them in real time based on intelligent algorithms and to respond precisely. At the end of 2022, Sewts successfully celebrated its market entry with its series-ready product Velum \u2013 a robot unit designed for large-scale industrial laundries. In the future, the startup's technology will automate other manual tasks such as sewing or laying cable harnesses. Embedded Ocean<\/a>:<\/strong> Founded in early 2020, the Munich-based startup has developed Xentara, a solution for real-time machine communication. It is designed to connect all existing systems and protocols used by a manufacturing company and complement them with new technologies and standards. The platform thus offers companies an easy entry point into data-driven production processes \u2013 starting with individual smart machines and extending to the ultimate vision of Industry 4.0, the self-optimizing "smart factory." Embedded Ocean has brought the Chinese company Justech Precision Industry on board to provide financial support. The group invested a six-figure sum in 2020. In the area of optimized and new processes for Industry 4.0, Nebumind<\/a><\/strong>The startup develops software that monitors the quality of components throughout the entire production process. The software collects all production data it can obtain from machines and sensors during the manufacturing of a component. It then creates "digital component twins" that the worker can view on their laptop. This makes it easier to trace production errors and optimize production. The company was founded in 2019 by Caroline Albert and Franz Engel; its backers include ESA BIC Bavaria and the SMEs Executive Agency of the European Innovation Council (EIC). Blackwave<\/a><\/strong>Since 2016, the Munich-based startup has been supplying components to the automotive and aerospace industries. Blackwave uses a process dating back to the 1960s, but with the most modern materials \u2013 carbon. The components are characterized by their low weight and high stability. The process is considered highly automated and cost-efficient, as it generates almost no production waste. Blackwave's customers include well-known corporations such as Airbus, Porsche, Webasto, and ESA. Munich-based startups such as Isar Aerospace, Vectoflow, and Fazua also rely on the technology. Last year, the startup completed its latest financing round, raising four million euros. Investors include Ann-Kristin and Paul Achleitner, as well as Alpine Space Ventures.
