Energyminer<\/a> aims to revolutionize hydropower. The startup's patent-pending technology generates electricity using micro-hydropower plants in rivers \u2013 without negatively impacting the flow of water or the habitat of animals and plants. Interview with Munich Startup<\/a> explains the founding team:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"Our hydroelectric power plants preserve the rivers in their natural state, or rather, our systems enable their renaturation, while simultaneously generating hydropower. Fish are 100 percent protected and can pass through the systems undisturbed. The systems float in the river. You can simply imagine them as a small wind turbine with a protective frame in the water. The installation is carried out entirely without concrete or dam walls."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Energyminer: Increase visibility for investors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On winning the Munich Business Plan Competition, Richard Eckl, <\/strong>Managing Director of Energyminer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"By participating in the competition, we want to increase our startup's visibility to investors and promote our Series A round. The feedback from the experienced jury is very helpful in our continued development. We ourselves have been active in the startup scene for over 10 years, and Baystartup is one of the most important institutions for founders in Bavaria."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Second place goes to the medtech startup Sedivention<\/a>The team aims to treat obesity and facilitate weight loss with a new type of catheter that cauterizes nerve fibers in the stomach in an outpatient and non-invasive manner. And the jury awarded third place to Baind<\/a>The company is developing a greentech solution for commercial real estate, enabling energy and CO2 savings through AI-based control of heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, and shading.

Fabian Brunner<\/strong>, <\/strong>Head of the Munich Business Plan Competition at Baystartup<\/a>, was satisfied with the jury\u2019s decisions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"Environmentally friendly and innovative energy generation through hydropower, artificial intelligence in building management, and a technology that significantly simplifies life for the morbidly obese: With their pioneering advanced technologies, the winning startups have the potential to soon have a major impact on our economy. The five other nominees from the fields of sensor technology, 3D printing, energy trading, PropTech, and environmental reporting also have very good market prospects with their strong concepts."
