The Munich Startup Award will be presented to visitors of the 1st Munich Startup Festival<\/a> There, selected startups will first compete in two semifinals, with two qualifying for the final. A distinguished jury will then select the winners of the Munich Startup Award. These winners will receive \u20ac5,000 and may call themselves "Munich Startup of the Year." Ten startups were selected from a total of over 70 applicants for the semifinals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ten semi-finalists of the Munich Startup Award<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Azuma Healthtech<\/a>:<\/strong> The startup aims to make a positive impact on the healthcare system through tech solutions. With its first product, Azuma helps simplify the complex user, role, and permissions management in practices and hospitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deep Drive<\/a><\/strong>: The high-tech company offers revolutionary drive trains for electric vehicles that allow a vehicle to travel 20 percent further or require 20 percent smaller batteries for the same range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deepeye Medical<\/a><\/strong> has developed a decision-support algorithm for ophthalmologists designed to help prevent blindness from treatable eye diseases. This allows physicians to offer their patients personalized treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hema.to<\/a>:<\/strong> The medtech startup offers objective AI-based immune system diagnostics from existing single-cell blood data. In this way, Hema.to aims to personalize treatments and tailor them to the immune system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phelas<\/a><\/strong> is developing an energy storage system that uses liquefied air. This will allow electricity generated from renewable sources to be stored sustainably and decentrally, making it available around the clock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phio Scientific<\/a>:<\/strong> With its compact cell microscope, Phio Scientific enables continuous and non-invasive cell monitoring and offers scientists access to the data and fully automated analyses of the cell experiments conducted via an online platform from anywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Puray<\/a><\/strong> is working on a urinary catheter that disinfects itself and thus protects patients from catheter-related infections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rekrutados<\/a><\/strong> aims to reduce the barriers to recruiting foreign specialists. To this end, Rekrutados offers qualified medical professionals a scholarship program to relocate to Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stabl Energy<\/a><\/strong> develops energy storage systems from discarded vehicle batteries. The goal is to increase the use of renewable energies with the help of energy storage systems while simultaneously extending the life cycle of car batteries. This reduces dependence on fossil fuels and enables longer battery life, thus contributing to the success of the energy transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twinu<\/a><\/strong>: The startup helps companies make their products more circular. To this end, Twinu offers a digital twin called the "Circular Pass," which is designed to extend the usability and lifespan of products and enable companies to establish and expand circular business models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A look at the jury<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the final round of the Munich Startup Awards, a top-class jury will select the winners. It includes Oliver Manojlovic, VP Sales at Personio; Gabriele B\u00f6hmer, Head of Munich Startup; Dr. Robert R.
