This software is designed to radically transform the workflow of radiologists. The company&#039;s core technology, DeepcOS, is a cloud-native, vendor-independent platform that can be integrated into existing radiology workflows. The platform aims to provide hospitals and medical practices with a central point of contact for all applications and services in the field of AI-supported radiology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cCompletely new ways of providing healthcare\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Franz Pfister<\/strong>, co-founder and CEO of Deepc, explains:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&quot;At Deepc, we believe that AI has the potential to open up entirely new avenues in healthcare. Our AI platform, DeepcOS, will fundamentally transform radiology by enabling the use of AI products for faster and more accurate diagnoses, and thus better treatment outcomes. We are delighted to have Sofinnova Partners and Bertelsmann Investments on board. Their extensive network in healthcare will significantly contribute to Deepc&#039;s advancement.&quot; <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>After a <a href=\"\/en\/69169\/millions-for-medtech-startup-deepc\/\">successful seed financing<\/a> In February 2021, the medtech company secured a \u20ac12 million Series A round. The funding will be used to support the commercialization of the AI operating system and further product innovations to increase user-friendliness for radiologists. The medtech startup also aims to accelerate its expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Widespread application of AI in healthcare<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cOur investment in Deepc underlines our belief that digital medicine has immense potential and that the technological enablers will be at the forefront of the digital revolution in healthcare \u2013 precisely what we have focused our investment strategy for digital medicine on,\u201d <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>said <strong>Simon Turner<\/strong>, Partner at <a href=\"https:\/\/sofinnovapartners.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sofinnova Partners<\/a>He continues:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&quot;DeepcOS enables the widespread application of AI in key areas of healthcare. In 2020, the Munich-based company was honored with the Founders&#039; Award from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy as the main winner, and also received the special award in the field of health. The Eugen M\u00fcnch Prize from the M\u00fcnch Foundation and the Munich Digital Innovation Award also went to the startup in 2019.
