Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> What does your startup do? What problem do you solve?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neurotrim Systems:<\/em> We believe in a world without unnecessary injuries and help people achieve extraordinary things in fitness and health. Treatment errors for ankle, knee, or back injuries result in one in five patients experiencing a re-injury in the future. Even in professional sports, with all the high-end opportunities, one in five athletes still has to end their career due to injury. This is not only associated with high costs but also with considerable personal suffering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hardware Software Solution for Therapy and Training<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At Neurotrim Systems<\/a> We've shown that this doesn't have to be the case. Our N1.System \u2013 a hardware-software solution for therapy and training \u2013 analyzes movement patterns, identifies motor deficits, and provides objective insight into patients. Through personalized exercises, we can then use the same system to correct the identified deficits, prevent injuries, and improve the rehabilitation process.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In professional sports, we also support coaching staffs with performance monitoring and return-to-play decisions. The benefits for clubs are obvious: We reduce the time players spend on the sidelines instead of on the field and increase their performance, which ultimately leads to better results for the club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rehabilitation clinics also gain a completely new, objective insight into their therapy success, can optimize the process for their patients, and actually show the results of the physiotherapy work in black and white.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wiggle pads and gaze analysis<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> But that's been around for a long time!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neurotrim Systems:<\/em> You'd think so, but unfortunately not. Even in otherwise progressive professional sports, players' motor deficits are "measured" with a few exercises, wobble pads, and eye-tracking. This borders on gross negligence, but until now, there simply was no alternative in this area. With us, there's no longer any excuse for that!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> What is your founding story?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neurotrim Systems:<\/em> Our CEO Maximilian Schiff's father has been developing the Neurotrim method since 2010 and has already worked with over 500 patients and athletes. The many success stories simply stuck with us. It was clear to us that we wanted to help as many people as possible with this approach, and to do so, we needed a scalable and easy-to-use solution. This is how Neurotrim Systems and then our product, the N1.System, were born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe pandemic was no picnic\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> What have been your biggest challenges so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neurotrim Systems:<\/em> The pandemic wasn't easy, but we weathered it very well. Rising material prices, the chip shortage, and development and production delays have always presented us with challenges and required us to find new solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> Where would you like to be in one year, where in five years?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neurotrim Systems:<\/em> Our motto for the coming year is "Creating Value." In one year, we want to be the preferred analysis and rehabilitation tool for the first professional sports clubs and have integrated the N1.System into the first rehabilitation centers. The team should be just as great as it is today. This will also apply in five years, only the team will certainly have grown significantly by then. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In five years, we aim to be present in the international market, including in US sports leagues. We are also planning an automated version of our system, which can then also be used in gyms or physical therapy practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Technical focus in Munich<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> How have you experienced Munich as a startup location so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neurotrim Systems:<\/em> From the very beginning, we were closely integrated into the TUM network and UnternehmerTUM<\/a> We were involved and learned a lot from it. We noticed a high level of seriousness in Munich, and of course, we also like the technical focus. The funding, support, and programs that Munich has to offer are immense. Additionally, we have great production partners in the area with whom we work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> Quick exit or long breath?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neurotrim Systems:<\/em> Staying power \u2013 definitely. We want to make a difference with our product and help as many people as possible, and that takes time. Hardware and the industry we operate in generally have longer cycles anyway. The causes can be varied: from a lack of measurements and objectivity in physical therapy to rigid and poorly personalized treatment processes. The Munich-based health tech startup Neurotrim Systems addresses precisely this with its hardware-software solution for therapy and training.
