Presize:<\/a> <\/strong>Back in April, there were reports that Facebook parent company Meta had acquired the Munich-based startup Presize \u2013 however, both companies remained silent on the matter. The acquisition was then confirmed in August. Presize has developed a digital size advisor for online shops that measures clothing measurements based on the user's body rotation in front of the smartphone camera. Happy Ocean Foods:<\/a><\/strong> The Munich-based food tech startup impressed on the 'Lion's Den' in May and, after tough negotiations, was able to leave the TV show with two new investors. Nico Rosberg and Dagmar W\u00f6hrl both joined Happy Ocean Foods and received a 14 percent stake in the company for \u20ac300,000. Ottobahn:<\/a><\/strong> Ottobahn aims to revolutionize transportation with a rail-based cable car. The Taufkirchen-based startup reached a milestone in its project in February: The Munich District Office granted a building permit for the first test track. The tests to be conducted there are a key prerequisite for an operating license, which is already being monitored by T\u00dcV S\u00fcd. \"Arrive\"<\/a>
Arrive:<\/a><\/strong> At the beginning of the year, Arive secured \u20ac18 million in Series A financing. Customers can quickly and easily order high-quality consumer goods through Arive and have them delivered to their homes within half an hour. Unlike other express delivery services, the Munich-based company doesn't focus on groceries. Instead, Arive delivers products from categories such as technology, jewelry, cosmetics, self-care, and home to its customers' homes. Personio:<\/a><\/strong> In September, media reports revealed that Personio was renting space in a new office complex in Munich's Bahnhofsviertel district. In terms of contract value, this was said to be the largest lease in Munich's history at the time. The company was paying just under \u20ac50 per square meter per month, reported the S\u00fcddeutsche Zeitung. Over the 15-year contract term, this would amount to approximately \u20ac350 million in rental costs for the Munich-based unicorn. Personio was founded in 2015 by Hanno Renner, Roman Schumacher, Arseniy Vershinin, and Ignaz Forstmeier. The Munich-based startup offers HR software for small and medium-sized businesses.
