Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> What does your startup do? What problem do you solve?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tidely:<\/em> Tidely is a cloud-based SaaS solution for active liquidity planning and management<\/a> of small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany and internationally. Through us, companies gain transparency and understanding of their own finances in real time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A simulation of future liquidity is performed at any time at the push of a button. With our tool, customers can apply an AI-based autoforecast, use industry-specific planning templates, and compare different scenarios to derive the implications of business decisions. Active liquidity management enables the integration of specific product solutions from strategic product partners (e.g., factoring). Specific reports and evaluations can be created for various stakeholders, such as banks, investors, and tax advisors.

With our solution, we finally offer small to medium-sized companies a real alternative to Excel, as Excel is not suitable for actively managing finances (e.g. due to the lack of real-time data source connections).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> But that's been around for a long time!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tidely: <\/em>Two key themes differentiate us from previous solutions and constitute our USP: 1. What we do (\u201ccontent focus\u201d) and 2. how we do it (\u201cUX\/UI\u201d).

1. Today's solutions address two thematic areas: a) expense management or b) financial planning. While expense management solutions provide a focused view of company expenses and upload data in real time, financial planning tools focus on the long-term financial situation based on accounting data. What is missing in the market is the ability to view, analyze, and manage finances with a short-term time horizon\u2014i.e., days, weeks, and months. Companies currently attempt to solve this with the help of Excel and encounter a multitude of challenges. With Tidely, companies can now easily display this with the help of a software solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMaking the complex subject of finance as easy as possible for companies\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

2. Finance is a very complex subject and, for most companies, a "necessary evil" that simply has to be addressed. Many have emotional inhibitions because, on the one hand, the subject matter can quickly become quite complex, but, on the other, it is very relevant. Therefore, with Tidely, we have set ourselves the goal of our software<\/a> We designed our software around the following three pillars: 1) Maximum Intuition, 2) Maximum Customizability, and 3) Maximum Insight. We want to be the "Apple" of financial software. Apple once succeeded in bringing a complex subject like the PC\/technology world into "normal" households. Following this example, we want to make the complex subject of finance as accessible to businesses as simple as possible!

Especially in today's times of disruptive market disruption, finances are at the heart of success. With Tidely and the way we develop this software, we want to make a key contribution to securing as many companies as possible. Our purpose is: No company should have to go bankrupt "solely" due to poor liquidity management!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em> What is your founding story?
<\/strong>
Tidely: <\/em>Two cornerstones:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Over 75 percent of companies are unable to manage their short-term finances because the necessary tools simply aren't available. This applies especially to all industries where liquidity plays a central role in business (e.g., agency business, consulting, (e-commerce) retail, construction, etc.). This situation is exacerbated in today's times of crisis, as 100 percent of companies are struggling with rising costs (inflation, energy prices, supply chain problems\/prices, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tidely aims to become a trusted partner for SMEs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

2. Transitioning from a "secure" job to a startup adventure with a clear vision of making a substantial contribution to small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). SMEs form the backbone of all economic nations (over 98 percent of companies are SMEs, meaning they have 1-250 employees). Unfortunately, these companies currently receive very little support with key issues and problems. We want to become the trusted partner of SMEs, standing by them in difficult times with critical issues such as finances!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> What have been your biggest challenges so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tidely:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. To go from prototype to market readiness in the shortest possible time (just under 15 months).
2. Constantly deciding to \u201cdeprioritize\u201d issues in order not to lose focus.
3. Finding the right employees to reflect the rapid growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> How are things going?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tidely: <\/em>Over 4,500 registrations were registered in the first three quarters as a free prototype, and 500 customers are already paying after the first 12 months (growth >20 percent month after month).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> How have you experienced Munich as a startup location so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tidely: <\/em>On the one hand, the location is a real asset because it's very attractive to work in Munich. On the other hand, the cost of living is also high. Overall, however, this is actually an advantage and, along with Berlin, is probably the most attractive location for a startup in Germany: The exchange with other startups is also very good in Munich, of course, because there are so many startups!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
