Pixel Robotics emerged as the most successful Munich startup in the pitch competition at Bits & Pretzels, competing against around 20 other startups from the state capital, and will thus receive the Munich Startup Award 2022, which is endowed with 5,000 euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pixel Robotics<\/a> builds intelligent, perception-controlled robots tailored to intralogistics. Using an AI vision infrastructure, a digital twin of the operational area is created. Using this real-time twin, the Munich-based startup's robots can collaborate autonomously with their human colleagues. The company was founded in 2020 by Johannes and Valentin Plapp. The founders have so far bootstrapped the company, but are currently looking for investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Award ceremony at the Oktoberfest<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Munich Startups Awards ceremony took place \u2013 as in previous years \u2013 at the Oktoberfest, where the Bits & Pretzels start-up festival traditionally concludes with a networking event for all participants. On the stage of the Schottenhamel tent, Munich's Economic Affairs Minister and Wiesn director Clemens Baumg\u00e4rtner honored this year's winning team and said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"One of the most important success factors for innovative startups is the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences within strong networks. In addition to its excellent locational factors, Munich, with its strong startup ecosystem, offers excellent starting and growth conditions for young companies."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the award, Pixel Robotics will receive \u20ac5,000 in prize money donated by Munich Startup. The Munich Startup Awards are intended to help raise awareness of the innovative strength of Munich startups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe prize money will be invested in the team\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Oskar Gruber<\/strong> from Pixel Robotics<\/a> is delighted with the Munich Startup Award:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"The Bits & Pretzels and the pitch competition were a tremendous experience in themselves. Of course, we're even more excited that we've now also won the Munich Startup Award. We'll invest the prize money in our team, because for the past two years we've been primarily focused on product development so we can bring it to customers \u2013 we deserve to celebrate having achieved that. And part of the money \u2013 we are a startup after all \u2013 will be reinvested directly into the product."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

And what are the next plans at Pixel Robotics?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"We've put a lot of energy into the product and the 'go-lives' with our first customers. Now we have a finished product that we can roll out to market. We're now focusing on acquiring additional customers so that our robot can be used in even more warehouses."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
