The list of investors of Air Up<\/a> has received a particularly glamorous addition this spring: Since April, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have held one percent of the Munich-based beverage startup. This stake is a significant advantage for Air Up's expansion plans in the USA. With Joko Winterscheidt, Andreas Weinzierl has not only an investor but also a co-founder for his startup Sushi Bikes<\/a> found. With their product, the entrepreneurs want to kill three birds with one stone. An affordable electric bike, which at \u20ac999 is significantly cheaper than competing products, combined with the pared-down aesthetics of a fixie bike (single-speed bike) and a lightweight and compact battery whose performance is geared towards urban conditions. The Munich-based Regtech startup Alyne<\/a> aims to make technology risk management more cost-effective and, above all, simpler for highly regulated industries like the financial sector. Their solution was able to attract celebrity investor Carsten Maschmeyer\u2014without having to appear on the TV show "Die H\u00f6hle der L\u00f6wen" (The Lion's Den). Also at Reinvent<\/a> Carsten Maschmeyer demonstrated the right instinct: When he joined the construction and real estate software provider in the summer of 2020 with his venture capital fund Alstin Capital, he declared: "Reinvent is Alstin Capital's first proptech investment \u2013 and it is already revolutionizing the construction industry." Two years later, the exit followed: The Bremen-based wholesaler GC Group acquired a majority stake in Reinvent in June 2022, and all shareholders except the founders are said to have sold their shares to him for a double-digit million sum. Another \u201clion\u201d could Robco<\/a> (formerly Kea Robotics) also made a strong impression, also without a TV appearance: Frank Thelen joined the Munich-based company in June 2021 with his investment firm Freigeist Capital. Another Munich-based startup that Frank Thelen invested in without appearing on the TV show is Smartlane. The company offers a comprehensive solution for logistics processes that automates transport planning and control, thereby contributing to cost and time savings. Frank Thelen explained when he joined in 2019: "We became aware of Smartlane through Baystartup, and after Air Up, Smartlane is already the second company in our portfolio to be supported by Baystartup.
