New format in the Munich startup ecosystem:<\/strong> Today and tomorrow, everything at the IMC at Messe M\u00fcnchen is focused on healthtech. The first edition of the Bits & Pretzels Healthtech Conference will kick off with over 1,000 visitors, making it significantly smaller than its big sister in September, but with a more specific theme. The self-proclaimed goal of this event is to bring together the establishment and innovation. Or, translated: Here, innovative young companies should meet established players, engage in dialogue, and ideally, contribute together to creating solutions for the overburdened and under-digitalized healthcare system. Right next to the Growth Stage with a stand is the Munich startup Temedica<\/a><\/strong> The digital health company develops digital therapy companions for chronic diseases. Florian Meister<\/strong> from Temedica on his expectations for his company's on-site presence: "Ideally, we'll find new partnerships today, engage in sparring with other experts, and\u2014since we're currently in a growth phase\u2014engage in conversation with potential applicants. With Hello Mirrors<\/strong> is also an MTZ startup with a booth at the Bits & Pretzels Healthtech Conference. The young startup develops interactive mirrors for companies. Alexander Heinzler<\/strong>, co-founder and CEO of Hello Mirrors, commented on the trade fair participation: "First of all, I'm very happy that trade fairs are taking place again. Since we have a physical product, it's always important to show and demonstrate it. Specifically, I expect to gain new customers, connect with investors, and meet other startups. Furthermore, a trade fair like this can help build important bridges to corporates. Future editions of the Bits & Pretzels Healthtech Event could be expanded to include the Table Captain format, as we as a company have always benefited greatly from the direct discussions." Since 2018, the Startup Creasphere<\/strong> an accelerator in Munich focused entirely on digital health. The accelerator was founded by the pharmaceutical company Roche together with seed investor Plug and Play. Along with EIT Health, Roche is also one of the founding partners of the Bits & Pretzels Healthtech Conference.

Matthias Zach<\/strong> from Roche Diagnostics and Program Lead at Startup Creasphere, curated the trade fair program together with others. He says: "The crucial point of this event is not only to bring together all stakeholders from the healthcare sector, but also to truly put startups at the center as drivers of innovation. After all, many of the disruptive solutions come from them. And that's what makes this event so innovative: The startups are the center of attention, and not\u2014as is the case at many other conferences\u2014somewhere in a startup corner. Also present with a booth is the startup DasLab, which has offices in Berlin and Munich, among other places. The startup aims to provide universal access to medical diagnostics with its digital platform. Regarding its participation in the trade fair, Sebastian Eberhardt<\/strong> from DasLab: "We are looking forward to meeting other exciting companies in a relaxed setting \u2013 and especially not an online setting \u2013 that can be of interest to us not only as customers or investors, but also as partners with whom we can jointly develop new business cases and jointly advance digital health in Germany. And his colleague Anna Bram\u00f6eck <\/strong>adds: "So far, we've been able to have a lot of conversations at the fair. Networking is also going incredibly well, as the matchmaking formats offered, such as roundtables and speed dating, are very supportive. You can quickly and easily get into conversation with many players. Due to the thematic focus of the fair, everyone who comes here is a potential contact."
